End Styles

There are four end styles or, edge detailing, options to consider with an Alumawood patio cover. Beveled, Mitered, Corbel, or Scalloped. Your end styles can be chosen to match the overall aesthetic of your home so the addition is seamless.

Choosing Beveled, Mitered, or opting out of end styles entirely offers a contemporary, modern look to your patio cover.

Beveled End Styles

Mitered Style Ends

Mitered endy styles offer a bit more personality to your patio cover, but are still simplistic.

No End Styles

You can also choose to keep a very clean, modern look to your patio cover and have no end styles on your patio cover.

Adding Corbel or Scalloped end styles will offer your patio cover an ornate, elegant look.

Scalloped End Styles

Add a bit more elegance to your patio cover with these end styles.

Corbel End Styles

This choice of end styles gives an ornate, elegant look to your patio space.

Header Beams

Header beams on your patio cover are located at the end of its projection. With the option of choosing a single or double-header, the decision is based on your personal preference. Using double-header beams will give a more stout appearance.

However, patio covers with a much wider span than average, will require either a double-header or a steel c-beam inserted into a single header beam. Since that delves more into the engineering of these structures and highly depends on what you plan on doing with your specific patio cover, your contractor will go into detail about what is needed for your Alumawood patio cover. 

Additionally, if you want to eliminate center posts, like in the diagram below, you will need to accommodate the weight with double-headers or a steel-inserted single-header beam. The patio cover below chose a steel c-beam to be inserted into the single header so they could remove the center post.
